Breast feeding is the best method! Over the years the
percentage of children raised through breast milk has decreased to less that
forty percent. Breastfeeding a newly born baby up until the age of two years is
seen has a benefit for the health of the child as well as a financial benefit
as you do not have to spend any money on breast milk. In today’s generation and
time more woman are working which has increased the breast feeding decline as
mothers take a long time away from their babies.
The benefits of
breastfeeding are extensive: It reduces deaths of children under the age of
five, and reduce deaths of mothers. Other benefits include, economic benefits
for instance improved intelligence quotient (IQ), better educational attainment
for children and higher income in adulthood, better dental health, decreased
duration and intensity of illness.
When babies are
breastfed there is a bond that is created between the mother and child making
the baby feel supported and cared for. It is the most appropriate and natural
food for the baby as it adapts to all the needs that the baby has. Most babies
that have been breastfed do not easily get infections and less likely to have
any problems with obesity.
Breast Milk is the
key!
